Visionary Productions comes hot off the critical success of our debut album, “Shot Spots: The Punk Trooper Tribute Album” to bring you our next innovative project, “CanCon Gals”. An album chock full of up-and-coming female bands and artists!
Visionary, formed in August of 2000, has taken large steps in becoming a pioneer in creating and supporting artists and their projects within the realms of music, film, and internet media. We strive to bring fairness and professionalism to every project we take on, while maintaining the artistic integrity of every person involved.
In October of 2000, Visionary produced their first show at the now defunct Starfish Room in Vancouver, BC. They quickly came upon a project no one could have imagined.
Take a classic Canadian band, well-known throughout the country and popular for over 25 years... cross their hottest hits with the craziest, wackiest, nastiest punkers and hardcore rockers from all across the great Canadian nation... add several kegs of free beer (courtesy of R & B Breweries)... mix for six months at high speed... then bake and fry all night at high heat!
THE RESULTS:
Shot Spots: The Punk Trooper Tribute Album... 30 songs of varying rock, punk and metal unleashed upon the world on June 2, 2001. To celebrate the CD Release, Visionary put together a massive 13 band show at the fabulous Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC. Thanks to everyone’s huge and appreciated efforts, the CD Release Party was a huge success and showcased the talents of many of the CD’s bands, as well as some guest surprises, like Ra McGuire, Bif Naked... and the winner of VISIONARY's "YOUR BAND on SHOTSPOTS CD" Contest... DAVIDICUS!
Now... Visionary goes a step beyond showcasing a Canadian legend… they’re showcasing an entire sex!
Visionary wants to put your female-fronted band on their upcoming CD, “CanCon Gals”.
