Formed in January 1995, JP5 hit the clubs of Vancouver, BC, with a message to its fans... "PUT UP, OR SHUT UP!" These outrageous, over-the-top power punk rockers have been shocking fans with a stage show that is definitely 'NOT for the faint of heart'. JP5 is fronted by Lotuslands's most popular trash vixen, Gerry-Jenn Wilson. A talented song writer and an even more amazing performer, Gerry-Jenn describes JP5 as "Jet fuel, my fave martini, and my beloved rawk band!" It doesn't take long to see that this woman has a spark inside her that is a mixture of Wendy O, Iggy Pop, Betty Page, and a little bit of Alice Cooper. In 1996 JP5 released a 6 song tape entitled '3 DAY BENDER'. This recording combined the talents of SYD SAVAGEDEATH SENTENCE on guitar, STEPHEN HAMMTANKHOG ~ SLOW on bass, and KEVIN KEATING on drums. The first track on this tape, 'FUZZY HEAD PILLS', went straight to #1 on CiTR 101.9FM and remained in the TOP 10 for over 3 years. Hot on the heels of '3 DAY BENDER', came JP5's second release 'MAN'S RUIN'. This 5 song cassette features such sexy songs as 'PREVERT', 'AS IS DEPT.', and a wicked cover of DOA's 'WANT SOME BONDAGE'.
